One of the largest primary-contact health care professions in Ontario, chiropractic is a non-invasive, hands-on health care discipline that focuses on the neuro-musculoskeletal system. Chiropractors practice a manual approach, providing diagnosis, treatment and preventative care for disorders related to the spine, pelvis, nervous system and joints.
Chiropractors use a combination of treatments, all of which are predicated on the specific needs of the individual patient. After taking a complete history and diagnosing a patient, a chiropractor can develop and carry out a comprehensive treatment/management plan, recommend therapeutic exercise and other non-invasive therapies, and provide nutritional, dietary and lifestyle counselling.

The many variations of massage account for several different techniques to develop, maintain, rehabilitate, or augment physical function, or relieve pain.

Muscle Strains, Sprains
Decreased Range of Motion
Headaches, Migrains
Tennis, and Golf elbow

Usui Reiki
This Japanese energy healing technique aims to promote relaxation and stress reduction, with the intention of supporting the body's natural healing abilities. It helps to balance your energy which in turn calms the mind and body. As a side note, this is a great option for someone who may not like to be touched as it can be performed with hands just hovering within the person's energy field.
Homeopathy
Homeopathy is an effective and scientific system of healing which assists the natural tendency of the body to heal itself. Symptoms of ill health are recognized as expressions of disharmony within the whole person, and that it is the patient who needs treatment, not just the disease. Homeopathic medicine is gentle and can safely be used by everyone, including pregnant women, infants, the elderly, and animals.
Bowen Therapy
Bowen Therapy helps the body remember how to heal itself. The gentle yet powerful Bowen moves send neurological impulses to the brain resulting in immediate responses of muscle relaxation and pain reduction. Bowen is effective and safe for people of all ages.
A Bowen treatment will last 45 minutes to 1 hour. Most of the work can be done through light clothing. There are pauses between the moves. The purpose of the pauses is to allow your body to respond and make its own adjustments.
Clients may experience pain relief after just one session. Depending on the issues two or three treatments may be enough to achieve long-lasting relief.
The session is very relaxing and may help with issues, such as:
- Headaches / Migraines - sports /accident injuries
- Digestive problems - knee/feet problems
- Back/neck/shoulder - arthritis
- Respiratory issues - Asthma/Hay fever
- Groin Pain - Sciatica
Osteopathic Manual Therapy
Osteopathic Manual Therapy is a form of manual therapy that emphasizes the relationship between the structure and function of the human body. It follows a belief in the body’s ability to self-heal and self-regulate, allowing the osteopathic practitioner to facilitate health in their patients. It is a hands-on, manual treatment used to reduce pain, increase physical mobility, and improve the circulation of blood and lymphatic fluids.
As the osteopathic practitioner aims to restore the normal function and stability of the patient body to allow it to heal itself, they will use their hands to treat the patient, using a mixture of approaches and techniques. Every treatment will be based on the individual patient and the symptoms they present. An osteopathic treatment aims to positively affect the body’s nervous, circulatory, and lymphatic systems.
Osteopathic Manual Therapy acts as a complementary therapy alongside conventional medicine.
A first osteopathic appointment will last between 45 minutes to an hour, and will allow the osteopathic practitioner adequate time to listen and ask questions about the patient’s specific situation, their general health, any other medical care they are receiving and then render an individualized treatment. Follow up treatments will usually last between 15-30 minutes depending on treatment required.
Compassionate Inquiry
What Is Compassionate Inquiry?
Compassionate Inquiry® is a psychotherapeutic approach developed by Dr. Gabor Maté that reveals what lies beneath the appearance we present to the world.
Using Compassionate Inquiry, both the individual and therapist unveil the level of consciousness, mental climate, hidden assumptions, implicit memories and body states that form the real message that words both express and conceal.
Through Compassionate Inquiry, the client can recognize the unconscious dynamics that run their lives and how to liberate themselves from them.
“The purpose of Compassionate Inquiry is to drill down to the core stories people tell themselves – to get them to see what story they are telling themselves unconsciously; what those beliefs are, where they came from; and guide them to the possibility of letting go of those stories, or letting go of the hold those stories have on them …
That’s what Compassionate Inquiry is.”
~ Dr. Gabor Maté

Emotional Freedom Technique
EFT is a powerful new discovery that combines two well established sciences so you can benefit from both at the same time: Mind Body Medicine and Acupressure.
In essence, EFT is an emotional version of acupressure, wherein we stimulate certain meridian points by tapping on them with our fingertips. This addresses a new cause for emotional issues (unbalanced energy meridians).
Properly done, this frequently reduces the therapeutic process from months or years down to hours or minutes. And, since emotional stress can contribute to pain, disease and physical ailments, we often find that EFT provides astonishing physical relief.
Once you have learned the basic technique, you can apply it to most situations and use it for life!
Reflexology
By applying pressure to specific points on the feet, reflexology can help to stimulate nerve function, improve energy levels, boost circulation, increase relaxation and much more. This ancient practice is designed to promote healing and balance throughout the body. This is an excellent treatment for children of all ages, especially those who struggle with constipation or sleep disturbances.
Indian Head Massage
A simple yet effective Ayurvedic practice, Indian head massage has been practiced in India for thousands of years. Originally developed by women to promote hair growth and vitality. The modern version has been adapted to also include the neck, shoulders and upper arms as these areas tend to hold physical and emotional stress from modern day lifestyles. Although it is considered a massage, it is very gentle, yet stimulating. Benefits include decreased pain, relief from eye strain and fatigue, improved lymphatic circulation, encourages hair growth and hair vitality, can relieve mental and emotional stress and more.
Black Pearl/Amygdala Release
The Amygdalae resemble small black pearls and are found in both temporal lobes of our brains. They are part of our Limbic System. The Limbic System is the area of our nervous system which controls things such as emotion, mood, memories and processing of fear and anxiety. When we suffer trauma or live in a chronic state of stress, our Amygdalae become larger and more connected to the part of our brain that regulates our emotions. This makes it difficult to feel calm and relaxed causing us to remain in a state of fight or flight. Black Pearl Technique, also known as Amygdala Release is a non-invasive neurovascular therapy that can help shrink the Amygdalae and help balance the autonomic nervous system. It involves gentle stimulation of specific acupoints on the head, neck and face to encourage deep relaxation and surrender. This allows the body to enter a parasympathetic state. The meridians are worked on as well, to encourage a more balanced energy flow in our bodies.
Telpus
Similar to Reiki, Telpus is a gentle yet effective modality. Working with earth-bound energy and the water element, this service is balancing and beneficial to all things human, animal and environmental. It focuses only on positive, loving energy which is why it is such a beautiful treatment for both client and practitioner. This service can be done alone or added on to Reflexology or Reiki treatment as it only takes about 25 mins to complete a session.
