Prior to graduating with a Masters in Osteopathic Manual Sciences from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy, I earned a degree in Theatre Design (1994) and a diploma in Costume Studies (2002). For over 20 years I worked in theaters across Canada, before embarking on a new career path.

I have experience training as a competitive swimmer, runner, and a triathlete. I have also trained in Crossfit and for several years had a daily Ashtanga yoga practice. Today, I continue to swim and run, and enjoy the benefits of an active lifestyle.

As a lifelong athlete, I am familiar with the effects of training on the body, and the limitations of traditional medical approaches in addressing physical pain and the complexities of injury and recovery. I found my way to Osteopathy after traditional modalities failed to meet my needs. As a patient, I found the practice of Osteopathy beneficial, bringing relief to my pain, and allowing me to return to my training. As a practitioner, my love for working with people, combined with my desire to help patients return to a functional quality of life, changed my path from the Arts to the Sciences.

Osteopathic Manual Therapy can help relieve the symptoms of injury and chronic pain, as well as a wide range of other health problems. I use my knowledge of anatomy to effectively treat my patients as individuals in a safe, accepting and secure setting.

If you would like to know more about how Osteopathy can benefit you, feel free to book an initial intake appointment. Osteopathic treatments can be billed to most extended health care plans.

With a background in social services and counselling, I have always had an interest in health and natural medicine, and in helping others to find ease in the flow of their life.

I graduated the three-year diploma program at the Toronto School of Homeopathic Medicine in 2003, and completed 2 years of post-graduate studies in Homeopathy. As I built on this foundation over the years, I included Emotional Freedom Technique, and became a Certified Wellness Coach in 2018. In 2020, I began a life-changing training in a psychotherapeutic approach called Compassionate Inquiry, and began offering this counselling in 2021. I use any/all of these tools to co-create an individualized plan for wellness for each of my clients.

As owner of Hamilton Health & Wellness Centre, my focus is to be part of a collaborative team that offers a wide range of complimentary healthcare options.

Mission Statement: To assist my patients to achieve and maintain health in a natural, holistic way and to educate and encourage others to deepen their awareness of themselves, and of their health.

Hi there! My name is Alyssa. I am a Registered Social Worker who specializes in working with folks who struggle with big emotions (like anger, sadness, anxiety, and/or shame), consequential ways of coping (for example, self-harm, substance use, disordered eating, overspending, etc.), relationship problems (conflict, communication, trust, self-esteem, etc.), & sexuality (exploring identity, intimacy, experiences of judgment and oppression, etc.).

My primary goal is to identify what concrete changes you would like to see in your life and create targets to work on throughout our time together. I approach therapy like a road trip that we are taking together. You are in the driver’s seat. You are the expert in your own life. Though, sometimes I may offer directions or change the music (so to speak).

I incorporate a variety of therapeutic interventions to assist individuals with their difficulties, primarily; Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

A bit about me personally- I identify as a queer femme (pronouns she/they) and a mental health consumer (meaning someone who has struggled with mental illness). I am sex, kink, and body positive. These are important parts of me that guide how I work. However, I recognize that no two experiences are the same. I do my best to be an ally for others and work towards being anti-racist and anti-ableist.

I would be honoured to hold space for you and go on this “road trip” together. If you have any questions about my practice, please feel free to get in touch!

In-person, telephone & online video counselling is available for adults (18+). Sliding scale pricing is offered.

Welcome — I’m so glad you’re here. I’m a Reiki Master and Registered Reflexologist with a deep passion for helping people reconnect with their inner calm, strength, and vitality. In a world that often feels chaotic and overwhelming, I offer a peaceful space for healing, balance, and renewal. My approach is rooted in ancient healing traditions — like Reiki, Reflexology, Indian Head Massage, and the gentle yet powerful Telpus Energy Healing — brought together with modern understanding and deep compassion. I also specialize in a sacred therapy known as Black Pearl/Amygdala Release, a profoundly relaxing and restorative technique that calms the nervous system and supports emotional well-being. At the heart of my work is kindness. I truly care about each person I work with, and it’s my intention to support your journey to wellness — whether that means easing physical tension, soothing emotional stress, or simply giving you a quiet moment to breathe and come back to yourself. If you’re ready to feel more balanced, supported, and connected, I invite you to book a session. It would be an honour to hold space for your healing.

Prior to pursuing my career in osteopathy, I completed my undergrad at McMaster University earning my Honours Bachelor of Arts in Health Studies. This is where my interest in Anatomy, Physiology, and Biomechanics truly began to grow.

I graduated from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy earning my Master of Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences (M.OMSc). This intensive four-year program included 4,200 hours of education and 1,000 hours of supervised clinical training, giving me a strong foundation in classical osteopathic principles and hands-on treatment.

I’m also a member of OSTCAN (Ontario Osteopathic Association). Being an OSTCAN member means I’ve completed a Type 1 osteopathic program that meets the highest international standards as outlined by the World Health Organization. As a member, I’m held to rigorous educational, ethical, and professional standards, ensuring my patients receive safe and effective care.

I’m very passionate about supporting my patients through personalized treatments that address the root cause of dysfunction and help restore balance to the body. I use manual therapy to improve mobility, enhance circulation, improve posture, relieve pain, reduce stress, and aid in the overall function and health of the body’s many systems (ex. digestive health). My goal is to create a supportive environment where each patient feels heard and cared for, while helping patients reach their health goals.

Born and raised in the Hamilton area, I completed my undergraduate degree at McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor of Science. My studies focused on Biology as a major and Medical Anthropology as a minor, the combination of which ignited my interested in alternative medicine. My passion for natural therapies, holistic medicine, and most importantly health, made naturopathic medicine an instinctive fit for me.

I went on to complete 4 years of postgraduate medical studies at the accredited Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto, graduating as a Naturopathic Doctor in 2011. During this time I discovered my passion for clinical nutrition, and continued on to complete my Masters in Human Health and Nutritional Sciences at the University of Guelph. Recently in 2015 Naturopathic doctors have gained access to prescription rights for a list of medications in Ontario, and I have completed required training and examination to access these privileges.

I am currently a board certified Naturopathic Doctor, registered with both the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND) and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND). I work to integrate research-based natural medical knowledge with mainstream medicine to provide the most comprehensive care possible. This is achieved through the use of clinical nutritional therapies, acupuncture and Asian medicine, botanical medicine, lifestyle counselling and homeopathy. I welcome patients at any stage in their journey toward well-being and have special interest in women’s health, fertility, digestive concerns and chronic disease.
